Wattle Make it Retro?

A few apartments for lease and sale at 6 Wattle Drive Watsonia at the moment. Exterior is so 1960's, they could really re-work the external colours and landscaping to bring it bang up to date Modern - Body Corporate are you listening??

Devonshire Tea

Watsonia Post Office after closing
I've been a big fan of this little shop at 73 Devonshire Road, Watsonia for a lot of years now. It was originally the Watsonia Post Office and was then sold and slated for demolition to make way for an apartment block development. The GFC however but those plans to rest and it seems for now it might just have escaped the wrecking ball...

Watsonia Retro

Pull out your floral aprons kids - this is one for lovers of the 1950's! I was quite excited to see this untouched retro gem at 15 Papua Street Watsonia. Apparently one loving owner has 'preserved' this cute-as-a-button home in original condition. Most encouraging to see a Real Estate Agent that gets the retro appeal too!
Neat as a Pin.

McKellar Pool Party

Another Watsy wonder today at 27 McKellar Street, Watsonia. As the sales blurb says - " Its time for this 70's classic to get its 'Mojo' back" and for once the agent is spot on!!
Unassuming facade
A little work and imagination required here - Inside & Out!

No 70's property would be complete without a bar!
Seagrass matting and great bricks!

1960's Elder

I found a little 60's gem in Watsonia today at 1/59 Elder Street Watsonia. Perfect for first home buyers or empty nesters. It has some great features not often found in such a compact unit - It even has a garage and generous sized yard.
The window lined living room with great little fireplace with crazy stone surround and grooved lining boards!

Kitchen with open back to living room - Heaps of bench & storage space for a unit!
Sweet little bathroom in powder blue.

Bungay Idea?

Warning! Imagination required!! 11 Bungay Street Watsonia has been included for one reason really - those limed timber ceilings. I just love them. They could really make the whole home come to life with a new internal colour & finishes scheme that has a little bit of a nod to mid-century style...maybe even some slate floors, new fireplace...

Meakin Mild

Last but not least for today's updates is 65 Meakin Street, Watsonia North (Hocking Stuart Greensborough). Love that chimney from the outside. I just think this little house has terrific mid-century bones. Even the kitchen joinery is great.

Judge a Book by its Cover

Trawling through the real estate pages I have noticed a couple of places that look fantastic from the exterior but sadly the interior has been badly or unsympathetically renovated. In these instances, I suggest you 'judge the book by its cover'!

Watsonia Watch

Just listed by Ray White with only one photo and no address is this potential beauty in Watsonia.

A bit of a mish-mash on the outside but still has great potential - Wonder is the inside is as 'ecclectic'.
